The dial is black with a gold Roman numerals and finished off by a nice black leather strap.
The minute and hour hands are also very intricate and resemble the moon.
And best of all? This watch also comes in black/white and brown/white colors, so you can get one that matches your outfit.

Here are some of the cool features. First of all, this is an automatic watch! Yep! Finding a great moonphase automatic watch at this price point is pretty much impossible.

If you have been following me for a while now, you know I always recommend Peugeot watches.
They make a lot of great homage watches for high end brands like Patek Philippe, Rolex, and so many others.
So I was very happy to see that not only do they have a moonphase watch (pictured above), but that this watch also has a perpetual calendar feature!
Now Peugeot isn’t known to have the highest quality watches (to be perfectly honest), but their watches look AMAZING for a good price.
And this moonphase watch is no exception.
If you’re a big fan of old school “retro” watches, then this is for you. This looks like something your grandpa would have worn to a party after defeating the Nazis.
There are a lot of things to love about this watch. Let’s start with the dial. It has beautiful black roman numerals on the face. It’s super elegant and something you could wear to a black tie party with your date.
I’m also a big fan of the perpetual calendar feature on the watch. Usually brands screw it up and make the watch look way to cluttered. However, I think they did a good job here. It looks so simple and elegant.
And don’t even get me started on the watch hands. They look super stylish like grandfather clock hands.

There aren’t a ton of good black moonphase watches on the market. So if this is something you are looking for you better snap it up!
I’m generally a big fan of Orient watches. They have a lot of watches that pay good homage to Rolexes, including the submariner.
This watch comes in several different colors, including white, black, rose gold, and even blue! So if you want it in a different color, you can certainly get it.
Overall, this is a really elegant watch and I love it in the white color. One of my favorite things about the watch is the beautiful roman numerals on the dial.
I’m a big fan of it because it looks simple and crisp. You’ll look like the absolute boss of any room you walk into.

If you’re a big fan of elegant blue watches, then this one is surely for you!
There’s not much to hate about this watch. I mean it just looks fantastic in all that glorious blue color.
It comes with a nice dark blue leather strap to boot! The dial is simply amazing. In fact, it almost looks like a compass.
I’m pretty much in love with the hands. They just look incredible. And wait till you see this bad boy on your wrist!
I’m also a big fan of the font of the Arabic numerals. It looks very extravagant.
Pros:

Cons:
- This is a smaller watch (35 mm), so if you have a big wrist, it may look unnaturally small.

This is another great watch by Zeppelin. In fact, it is pretty much similar to the other moonphase watch I just showed you except for a different color scheme.
This one comes with a beautiful white subdial and a light brown leather strap. I actually think this one looks a bit more vintage than the other one (simply because of the colors).
Anyways there are three functions on this watch for the day, date, and week.
This is also a smaller watch at 36 mm, but I happen to actually love watches in this size range. However, if you have a bigger wrist, I would avoid it.

Alright…another Zeppelin Hindenburg series watch on this list. But I just think it’s because these watches are so sexy.
I mean imagine wearing this watch on a sexy date or at the office. You’ll be the life of the party.
This watch is a bit more “classical” in its color scheme. It’s a white dial with a black leather strap.
And because black is a bit more formal, it’s perfect for the high end events you’ll be attending with this thing.
Like the other two Zeppelin watches on this list, it comes with three functions – day, date, and week.
The moonphase function looks beautiful. The hour and minute hands are simply beautiful. This watch should definitely be in your collection.

First of all, I really love the color scheme. It looks really nice with the white dial, the black Arabic numerals, and then the black leather strap to round it out.
Also, I love the gold on the bezel. It is one super classy watch to wear to nice events.
The blue hands also give it a really nice touch and really makes the watch pop out to the eye.

I’m pretty much in love with the Frederique Constant watches. They’re designed to be super simple, yet elegant.
And this silver dial watch is no exception!
While this watch may not look very vintage, it certainly does deserve a spot on your wrist.
Let’s go over the basics. First of all, it comes with day, week, and moonphase features.
The hands are a nice black color. The Roman numerals are also a nice touch and really look nice and simple.
There’s nothing too complicated going on with the dial, so that’s why I really love this watch.
The watch is also 40 mm so it’s perfect for most of you out there.

I haven’t really heard of Frederique Constant until very recently, but I am super impressed by the design of their watches. They all look very beautiful no matter what color they or what kind of watch they are.
And this one is no exception.

Surprisingly, the most expensive watch on this list is the Seiko Premier Kinetic SRX015P1.
This watch really does have all the bells and whistles. And it WILL look amazing on your wrist.
And this is the only moonphase watch on this list that comes with a steel bracelet. I tried to find others, but couldn’t find one with a good design – so this is a REALLY rare find.
The watch has 4 complications – day, date, month, and moonphase. Not only that, but it is also highly water resistant (300 feet).
Finally, the watch is a little on the larger scale – 42.5 mm, but I think it’s not over the top big.
The watch is made with beautiful silver stainless steel and comes with a sexy fold over double clasp. This is the real deal if you want an extravagant moonphase dress watch.
Pros:
- Beautiful watch that has four functions – day, date, month, and moonphase.
- Silver stainless steel bracelet – which is SUPER HARD to find with moonphase watches.
Cons:
- This is a kinetic watch – but it has a 30 day power reserve when fully charged.

Overall, moonphase watches are a really interesting complication on a watch.
And I really do love to see all the different moon designs on them – they are all unique.
However, most people think you need to be a Rockefeller to be able to own these types of watches. Maybe 30 years ago that was the case.
However, you can even own some great automatic moonphase watches without having to give up your firstborn child to get one.
